The Arizona Coalition for Career Readiness (ACCR) welcomes Education Forward Arizona to its group of industry, education and business leaders that promote career literacy and development for all Arizonans. The addition of Education Forward Arizona to the coalition strengthens the organization’s ability to advocate for the statewide Achieve60AZ initiative of helping 60% of Arizona adults attain a post-secondary credential by 2030.

“Employers, educators, community organizations and all Arizonans have a responsibility to build a culture that values career development and exploration, at all stages in an individual’s career journey,” said Katherine Adams, senior vice president of Pipeline AZ and ACCR coalition member. “Education Forward Arizona’s intentional and holistic approach to engaging our youngest students to Arizona’s community leaders unifies ACCR’s efforts around higher education attainment.”

Education Forward Arizona advocates for education improvements that advance the quality of life in Arizona. Education Forward Arizona and another ACCR member the Center for the Future of Arizona, have co-developed the Arizona Education Progress Meter, an interactive data tool that allows policy-makers, business leaders, elected officials, educators and community leaders to see where Arizonans stand in reaching the Achieve60AZ goal. All ACCR member organizations recognize that to reach that goal, there needs to be one technology solution, Pipeline AZ, that hosts all career exploration activities across the state.

“Equitable access to higher education attainment is critical to any meaningful form of workforce development and to improving quality of life in our communities,” said Rich Nickel, President and CEO of Education Forward Arizona. “Ensuring career development tools like Pipeline AZ are in all classrooms and all workplaces gives all Arizonans the ability to see what career pathways are possible.”
